On October 28, the selection committee, whose representatives were approved by the corresponding resolution “On Determining Representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to the Commission for Conducting the Competition for the Position of Director of the State Bureau of Investigation,” announced the decision to begin the selection of a candidate for the position of SBI Director.
In addition to selecting the director, the following matters were discussed at the meeting:
- selection of the commission secretary
- commission regulations
- and the conditions and timeline for the competition for the State Bureau of Investigation position were announced
The commission will accept candidates’ documents for 21 days, as announced by commission member Andriy Kozlov.
Oleksiy Sukhachov is currently the acting director of the bureau, and the selection committee has chosen a chairman and secretary. The next commission meeting is scheduled for November 4.
