When do you need to legalize a remodel?
If the layout of an apartment or office was changed without prior permission, for example, if a partition was removed or the bathroom was relocated.
What documents are required to process a remodel?
Proof of ownership documents for the premises, the technical passport, the project, and, if necessary, the consent of co-owners.
Can a remodel be legalized through the court?
Yes — if it’s not possible to formalize the changes administratively, SENSE lawyers will prepare a court claim.
How long does the legalization process take?
On average 1–2 months, depending on the complexity of the changes and local requirements.
Do I need to call the BTI for remodeling?
Yes — a BTI (Bureau of Technical Inventory) technician records the changes in the technical passport after the project is approved.
