Leonid Maslov, the head of Sense Consulting, and Serhiy Zhadan spoke on the air of Tryzub FM radio about the investigation into Sheremet’s case, which has been ongoing for six months.
According to Maslov, who represents the defense of Andriy Antonenko, the investigation of the case is being conducted by unprofessional people in Minister Avakov’s team. It is they who have turned a case that is important for society into a spectacle that has nothing to do with justice.
Throughout this time, no evidence has been presented that would actually prove the guilt of the accused, yet they continue to be held in custody. Keeping Antonenko and Kuzmenko in custody makes the defense less effective, weakens and discredits innocent people.
It is obvious to society that this case is politically motivated and fabricated in order to discredit certain groups of society (such as, for example, the Ukrainian military). At the same time, society itself plays an important role in this case. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is not able to deceive people, impose a false version on them, make them believe in the guilt of those who have nothing to do with this crime, and the ending of this story will depend on how many of us are involved.
